Nursery

Our Nursery program is a warm, nurturing, and safe space where your child takes their first steps into early learning. For many children, this is their first experience away from home — which is why our educators focus on building trust and strong, caring relationships with both children and their families.

Our program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and reflects ILM’s philosophy of fostering holistic growth, respect, and inclusion. Each day includes play-based experiences designed to spark curiosity and support development, from sensory play and music to outdoor exploration and storytelling.

Key focus areas in the Nursery include:

  • Social and Emotional Development – building a sense of belonging, security, and confidence.

  • Early Communication – encouraging language through songs, stories, and simple conversations.

  • Physical Growth – supporting fine and gross motor skills with age-appropriate activities.

  • Faith Foundations – introducing children to Islamic values through gentle routines, kindness, and early dua practices.

With a low educator-to-child ratio, our Nursery team provides personalised care to meet each child’s unique needs — from supporting feeding and rest routines to ensuring a calm, loving environment that feels like home.

Toddlers

Our Toddler program is designed to nurture growing independence while providing the security of a caring, faith-inspired environment. At this stage, children are curious explorers, eager to learn through movement, play, and interaction. Our educators create safe and engaging spaces where toddlers can develop confidence, friendships, and important life skills.

In line with the Early Years Learning Framework and ILM’s philosophy, our daily program supports:

  • Language Development – building vocabulary through storytelling, songs, and conversations.

  • Social & Emotional Growth – learning to share, cooperate, and express feelings with guidance.

  • Physical Skills – developing coordination and independence through play, self-help routines, and outdoor activities.

  • Faith & Values – introducing simple Islamic practices such as manners, kindness, and short prayers in fun, age-appropriate ways.

Our educators work closely with families to maintain familiar routines, encourage healthy eating, and support toilet training when children are ready. With small group sizes and nurturing relationships, toddlers feel safe to explore, learn, and grow — preparing them for the next stage in their early learning journey.

Senior Toddlers

Our Senior Toddler program supports children as they take big steps in independence, social interaction, and early learning. At this stage, children are developing stronger language skills, deeper friendships, and a growing curiosity about the world around them. Our educators create engaging environments where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and express themselves.

In line with the Early Years Learning Framework and ILM’s Islamic values, our daily program focuses on:

  • Early Literacy & Numeracy – recognising letters, numbers, shapes, and patterns through play and stories.

  • Social & Emotional Development – building resilience, learning to share, cooperate, and develop empathy.

  • Independence Skills – practicing self-help routines such as dressing, eating, and toilet training.

  • Creative Exploration – encouraging imagination through art, role play, music, and sensory activities.

  • Faith & Values – strengthening understanding of Islamic manners, short duas, and caring for others.

Educators work in close partnership with families to maintain consistent routines and ensure children feel supported in their growth. With a balance of structured and play-based experiences, our Senior Toddlers develop the confidence and skills that prepare them for the exciting transition into Kindy programs.

Kinder

Our Kindergarten program prepares children for a confident and successful transition to school. At this stage, children are developing independence, curiosity, and a stronger sense of identity. Guided by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, our Kindy program combines structured learning with play-based experiences to build a love for learning.

Aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, the Early Years Learning Framework, and ILM’s Islamic philosophy, our Kindergarten program supports:

  • Early Literacy & Numeracy – developing reading readiness, writing skills, number concepts, and problem-solving.

  • School Readiness – practicing routines, self-help skills, and building confidence to thrive in a classroom setting.

  • Social & Emotional Skills – building resilience, teamwork, empathy, and leadership through group projects and play.

  • Creative & Critical Thinking – encouraging children to explore, question, and express themselves through art, science, role play, and storytelling.

  • Faith & Values – embedding Islamic values of kindness, respect, gratitude, and short daily practices like dua, manners, and caring for others.

We work closely with families to ensure children are supported in all areas of growth—spiritual, social, emotional, and academic. Our Kindy graduates leave ILM ready for school and life, with strong foundations of faith, knowledge, and confidence.
